Was there to bowl on a mixed league. A small bowling alley locally owned. Kept clean and neat. Is state sanctioned so bowlers are able to take part in any tournament they want to else where and use the local average they have. Is being updated every year with used but still functional equipment.
Nice cozy out of the way tavern with quite a few people but not over crowded. Still can hear yourself think even though the bowling lanes are right in the next room! Clean place with lots of remodeling done. ...
I always need to make a stop here when I swing through Elgin. The food is good and the coffee is hot and I generally learn something from the locals-- good people. Here's an added bonus: they're also a bakery, so be sure to pick up some donuts or fresh baked bread. The caramel rolls are off the hook!
Stopped by for breakfast while in town to visit family. The server was really nice and responsive, the food was well prepared, and the prices were great. We'll definitely be back.
